BETWEEN RED ROCKS AND LEGENDS, THE HERMITAGE OVERLOOKING THE SEA
One of the most surprising places on the Costa Daurada, where nature, history and spirituality merge in a unique landscape. Declared an Area of Natural Interest, the hermitage stands on a red rock cliff, offering breathtaking views and an energy that invites you to explore every corner, the same that inspired Joan Miró. A space that beats strongly, where the land and the sea merge on the horizon.
A path full of stories and pilgrims
The route begins in the upper part of the village, following the Camí Vell de l’Ermita for about 25-30 minutes. Halfway along the way, you will find the mysterious Pedra dels Àngels, the protagonist of a popular legend.
Starting point for hikers and cyclists
From here you can start several hiking and mountain biking routes to discover the landscape of Mont-roig from a unique perspective.

SAILORS’ GUIDE and DREAMERS’ VIEWPOINT
Above the Mare de Déu de la Roca, the small hermitage of Sant Ramon de Penyafort, a unique piece of popular architecture documented in the sixteenth century, seems to defy gravity.
A light for sailors
Tradition has it that the image of Sant Ramon was found by fishermen, and for centuries, the whitewashed hermitage served as a reference point for fishing boats.
A privileged viewpoint
From its small natural balcony you can enjoy a spectacular view of the plain of the Camp de Tarragona.
On the way to Sant Ramon, it is worth stopping at the Fossar de les Monges, presided over by an imposing iron cross weighing more than 500 kg.
Live the experience of exploring these magical corners, where every corner connects you with the past, and where the earth speaks to you, transforms you and invites you to walk with it.
